Frequently Asked Questions

Can I choose my own Family Tree Plot?

Yes!  Reserve your place in line today to choose any available Family Tree Plot that you would like to purchase for your family. As long as your Dignitrees Park has not sold out to others who made their reservation prior to you, you will be able to choose the Family Tree Plot that is perfect for you.

What kind of trees are available in my Dignitrees Park?

The types of trees which help Dignitrees Parks flourish are selected based on the environment at each Park location, oftentimes oak or similar trees.  Dignitrees works with arborists to select native trees which will create the most attractive Park setting possible while remaining the most viable for the long term given soil conditions, weather considerations, and other factors which can impact our Parks.

How big will my tree plot be?

Tree plots vary in size based on the type of tree and location in the park. Each plot is large enough to encourage full growth of your tree and will provide room for families to reflect under the shade of their family tree. Plot availability is based on a first-come first-served reservation process.

How does interring ashes at a Family Tree Plot impact the ecosystem of the Family Tree, and of the Dignitrees Park ecosystem?

Dignitrees partners with expert arborists who help us ensure that the interment process is beneficial to the Family Tree at your Family Tree Plot.  The mixture you will use with your loved one’s ashes will help those ashes actually become part of your Family Tree over time, such that your loved one’s remains nurture the tree and benefit the ecosystem around it.

How are the Parks and trees maintained?

Our trees are monitored and tended to by skilled arborists to keep them healthy and growing. Each park is maintained to ensure accessibility while also allowing for a connection with nature and your tree.

When may I visit our Family Tree Plot? Can I visit the burial site on significant dates or anniversaries, and are there any restrictions on visiting hours?

Family Tree Plot owners and guests they accompany may visit their Dignitrees Family Tree at any time during Park hours.  On rare occasions, an internment may be happening at a nearby Family Tree; Dignitrees trusts visitors to exercise respect and decorum if such an event happens to be going on nearby on a day in which you visit your Family Tree.

What will happen to my Family Tree Plot after 50, 75, or even 200 years from now?

A permanent care fund will cover all costs associated with maintaining and caring for your tree and the overall park in perpetuity. The overall park will become part of a conservation easement to ensure your family tree will provide a place of reflection and comfort for generations to come.
